It is hard to believe we have had our first snow of the season and Turkey day is fast approaching. That means family, friends, football and most important, being thankful. Admission is always FREE and we are here from 9 am – 3 pm. There is breakfast and lunch for purchase while you are shopping. Our vendors have tons of unique and special gifts for those special someones in your life this holiday season.
We are thankful for all our wonderful vendors and for Frank and Janet for keeping this fantastic show running so successfully! We are also thankful for our shoppers, the old and the new. With the success of A Charlie Brown Christmas in 1965 and It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown in 1966, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving was the third holiday special which aired on CBS in 1973. It even won an Emmy Award the following year. What added to the charm of these specials, besides the beloved characters and scripts by Charles M. Schulz, was the brilliance of the soundtrack, composed and performed by Vince Guaraldi and his musicians. The music set the mood and was very sophisticated for a cartoon. Here is just a sampling:
