Spring is finally here and so is our next show on SUNDAY, April 21, at the Arbutus Volunteer Department Fire Hall in Arbutus from 9 am – 3 pm. Admission is FREE and FREE parking! All our great vendors will be there with tons of fun music items.

Our February show was fabulous and busy all through the day, and so nice to see we are getting more ladies coming to the shows, along with our wonderful women vendors—and it’s Women’S History Month.

Some sad news—we lost another great singer to soon this month—Eric Carmen, the lead singer of the great 70s group, The Raspberries. Remember how scandalous, “Go All the Way” was?

It’s hard to believe our last show of 2023 is soon upon us! Join us on Sunday, December 17 for cheer and shopping for Christmas, Hanukkah and whatever your special celebration is for this holiday season! People come from all over the world to our show! At the November show, we were joined by Michael and Sebastian. Michael Hurtt is a collector from Detroit and co-wrote the book (with Billy Miller) called Mind Over Matter: The Myths and Mysteries of Detroit’s Fortune Records. His friend Sebastian, originally from New York, lives in Stockholm (his mother is Danish) and collects vintage records and clothes from the 50s and sells them back in Sweden.

Here is a cool jazz cover borrowing art from the great Art Nouveau artist, Alphonse Mucha. That movement influence lots of art in the 70s from jazz covers to film titles. Just check out the opening credits for the film “Duel at Diablo” that also has a great Neal Hefti score.
