Boy, there were there so many different and interesting finds at last month’s show! First up since our wonderful, young Orioles team is doing so well, we came across some cool albums, immortalizing the 1964 pennant race, “Pennant Fever,” an album about the “Earl of Baltimore,” Earl Weaver, and “1970: Year of the Birds,” exciting play-by-play action of the Orioles flight to the World Championship.

Keeping with the sports theme, we found a set of albums about famous Formula One race car drivers of the past, including legendary British driver (Sir) Stirling Moss, American champion Phil Hill, American designer, racing driver, and entrepreneur Carroll Shelby (you can learn more about him and his challenge (as a Ford man) to Ferrari in the film, “Ford vs. Ferrari”), and the colorful Spaniard who drove for Ferrari, The Marquis de Portago.

The debut album by The Runaways in 1976. Joan Jett is on the cover and she was only 16 years old! A steal at $50!

Finally, one of the very few, perhaps the biggest, group to challenge the nearly total dominance of The Beatles in the 1960s, America’s own, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. This rare album (for $400!) pits them in “The International Battle of the Century,” put out by Vee-Jay Records. They were both legendary in their own way!

Happy New Year! It’s time for the first show of 2022 on Sunday, January 16th!

We had a great show before Christmas! It was so great to see Butch and Linda at the show again. They always manage to hunt up some great finds. This time it was some great signage from back in the day – the Buddy Deane show on the  WITH radio station and a big sign for Buddy Deane’s Bandstand on WJZ-TV, 3-5 pm Monday -Friday! They also had a bumpersticker for WJZ and a whole bunch of super groovy radios called the Toot-a-Loop Radio by Panasonic, made in Japan in the early 1970s. It was designed to wrap around your wrist  – all great finds!

There were some fun goings-on at our September show! First we had a new vendor, designer Stephanie Diederich, trying out her record-themed wares, including bags and Ts. Janet was wearing one of her cool, limited edition T-shirts! We wish Stephanie great success!

We gave Mr. Jack a birthday salute! He turned 91 years young in September! We think it’s the music and the fact that he is still a vendor at our show that keeps him young and full of life 🙂

And even Mighty Mouse made an appearance!
